Holidays Session: A Great Way to Maximize Your Machine for all Your Holiday Projects

November 7th
December 5th

-Would you like to learn more about your Cricut?
-Would you like to learn how to make cards, page layouts and other paper projects?
Then come join Cricut Club at Ever After. The club meets once a month on a Sunday from 12-3 p.m. During that time you will learn tricks and tips on making your Cricut chirp like a lean, mean cutting machine. Each month we’ll explore a cartridge and share ideas that each member has been working on between the meetings.

The next meeting is Sept. 12, from 12 – 3pm. We will be starting projects using Christmas cartridges that you may already have. Each month Cricut releases new cartridges that are themed around that month. September’s cartridges will not be released by the time we meet, so we are using cartridges from last year.

The new cartridges that we will use in the October meeting are Christmas Tags and Christmas Village. They are just $24.99 each. These are the seasonal cartridges and are available for a limited time only. There will be one or two full sized cartridges released soon that will cost more. If you make cards or scrapbook the Christmas season, these cartridges are a must for your collection. We have good news! You may pre-order the new cartridges from Ever After and get a 10% discount on the cartridge and get your frequent buyer card stamped too. That’s a 20% discount! Plus, you’ll be one of the first to receive the new lower price point cartridges ($24.99).

Club Cricut at Ever After meetings are $30.00 each or if you sign up for three you save $15.00 and pay only $75.00 for all three…What a deal! You also get a $5.00 store credit for supplies (paper, embellishments) for that day so you can customize your projects. If you are interested please contact the store as soon as possible to sign up for the club. If you have questions, the staff at Ever After can answer many of them. Or you can contact your Club Cricut Leader, Sherry Poore at spoore@yahoo.com.

What to bring to the Club Meetings:
Your Cricut, mats, tools, and any cartridges you have. Also please bring your scrapbooking tool kits. Bring Christmas paper with you if you have some that you love. Bring some old paper that you might want to practice on before cutting your good paper.

In true Survivor Island theme, you and your friends will be cast away for 24 hours on an island with only scrapbooking supplies! It won’t be the lap of luxury as you compete in survival mode on Big Survivor Island, but we do promise an adventure pass with lots of fun and exciting events during the 24 hours, make and takes, games, raffles and prizes for everyone! Do you have what it takes to be the Ultimate Survivor or part of the Ultimate Surviving Island?

When: October 16-17, 2010 from Saturday at 9 a.m. to Sunday at 9 a.m.

A light breakfast is served at the store from 8-10 a.m. As you arrive at the store, you will be assigned an arrival time for Survivor Island. Plan ahead to arrive with your island-mates. A wake-up scavenger hunt and a morning goody bag you don’t want to miss will await you at Ever After. Stay and play and enjoy the camaraderie and food. Then, you’ll head on over to the event site, usually just minutes from the store! (Last year it was two doors away and the castaways loved it!)

Where

Near Ever After Scrapbooks, in Vista/Oceanside. Last year’s facility was over 6,000 square feet of space, so you’re guaranteed lots of cropping space!

When you arrive at Big Survivor Island, your hostess will give you event information and greet you. You will receive your official Survivor 2010 T-shirt. We will officially kick off the event at 12:00 noon with a grand hoopla! Be ready to dance in the aisles and raise the roof!

To raise money for Breast Cancer Awareness, Research, and Education. All proceeds to benefit the San Diego Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure.

$110 per person, non-refundable. If needed, you can transfer your fee to another individual should you not be able to attend.

Note: Each attendee is required to raise a minimum of $125 in donations for Komen for the Cure. Yes, this is a competition. So, we deem one individual “The Ultimate Survivor” — the individual who has raised the most money separate for his/her team. There is also an award for team effort and so you may vie for “The Ultimate Surviving Island.” This is the team who has collectively raised the most money separate from the ultimate survivor. A little history lesson…

Oct 2, 2010   //   by admin   //   Uncategorized  //  No Comments

Today i am going to give you a little history lesson of how i started to scrap.  I was a lonely newlywed who had lost my cute new husband to pre med classes, and was bored silly, living in a new country with no friends or family.  One night we had a ladies night at church… and this sweet girl had all kinds of scrapbooking stuff…i knew i had to have it.  I had always had my smelly sticker collection, and kept all things of special memories in a large scrapbook, but had never seen all these cute things that I could add to it!  I asked the girl where she had picked up the supplies and she said "Pebbles in my Pocket."  Hmmmm….what was this, a few more questions and next day I had driven up the hill from Provo, to Orem, and found myself in this quaint white house that had been converted into a small shoppe.  The cutest place, with homemade lollipops that were made by an old man who lived near by…lollipops of all flavors, the best one being either root beer, or oreo cookie….heaven on earth.  I was hooked, and for the remainder of our time at university in the small Utah town, I would go to the shoppe every Friday from 10 am til dinner time, and scrap my days away…then the duke, {my cute husbands nick name} would come home, and we would do our groceries, and then go to  a midnight movie…that was my Friday!  Such fun memories…. anyways… to make a very long story short…Pebbles has grown over the years, the shoppe is still on the cute corner, and a while back they came out with thier own new lines, and now we have some of thier new releases!

We have the "New Arrival" lines…both for girl and boy.  They are so cute, here are some darling idea's that were on the blog, www.pebblesinmypocket.blogspot.com.  The blog has so many cute things on it, lotsa yummy projects made with these new cuties!  You can see that even if you don't have a brand new bouncing baby, this paper can make just about anything look cute!

Jovial Basic Grey …are you ready for Christmas cards?

Sep 30, 2010   //   by admin   //   Uncategorized  //  No Comments

Is it time for you to get a jump on your card making for the holidays?  Holy nuts…we have the cutest papers in right now to get your cards going.  We have the brand new line from Basic Grey called Jovial…it is a mix of cutsy, and vintage…really cute, and as usual BG has provided plenty of embellishments to go with the papers!  All around great release from them, so we had to have it!  Please enjoy this video which is made by the folks at Basic Grey, to see the line in detail. Keep in mind, we do not have every single thing  that the video shows, but we have plenty of it to get your cards going.

We also have the darling new line from American Crafts, and Dear Lizzy.  This layout, and these words are Elizabeth's own…she sums it up perfectly…over on her blog at www.elizabethkartchner,blogspot.com

"The Dear Lizzy Christmas line turned out very merry. Featuring a vintage and nostalgic feel, this line focuses on the hand-made Christmas traditions of home. Which resembles how we celebrate Christmas in our family. It has a classic color palette with a few cool touches added for good measure. Designs include popcorn garlands, wintry wonderlands and poinsettias.

This is just a peek. I love one of the stickers that includes an old car with a tree tied to the top. My dad loved our family tradition of picking out the perfect fresh cut Christmas tree every year. Collin and I still continue that tradition today.

The Dear Lizzy Christmas collection features unique products such as Mementos metal embellishments, Delights paper flowers, metal rose brads, mini pearl brads, Mixtape decorative tape and Bits tags, and favorites like patterned paper, foam and glitter Thickers, assorted brads, glitter buttons, specialty ribbon, clear stamps, Details, Minimarks rub-ons and Remarks stickers. "

Please stop by the store to see these cuties…i know it doesn't feel very Christmasy out there in this heat, but soon St.Nick will be slipping down your chimney…now go and make some shortbread and put on some warm socks … hee hee hee!
